В ЛиТЖТ — филиале РГУПС с 7 по 14 февраля проводится Вахта Памяти, посвящённая 74-й годовщине освобождения Лихой и Ростовской области от немецко-фашистских захватчиков во время Великой Отечественной войны. Она открылась выставкой в холле Административного корпуса: на всеобщее обозрение представлены яркие и содержательные плакаты на тему «Освобождение», студенческие историко-краеведческие работы под рубрикой «Моя малая Родина в годы Великой Отечественной войны».
Вахта Памяти продолжилась Уроками Мужества в студенческих группах, во время которых были заслушаны доклады о военных событиях на территории Ростовской области, продемонстрированы документальные фильмы, рассказывающие об освобождении железнодорожных пунктов и станций от фашистов.
10 февраля студенты групп А-11 и Т-12 приняли активное участие в акции «Память». Они возложили цветы в Парке Победы к братским могилам железнодорожников, погибших во время бомбёжек на станции Лихая, и солдат, защищавших посёлок в военное лихолетье, почтили их память минутой молчания.
