Под таким лозунгом в нашем техникуме прошла Вахта памяти, посвящённая 75-летию освобождения Лихой и Ростовской области от немецко-фашистских захватчиков.
Она открылась выставкой студенческих стенгазет на тему «Моя малая родина в годы войны. Освобождение.»
13 февраля вместе с представителями железнодорожных организаций, жителями мкр. Лиховского студенты и преподаватели ЛиТЖТ-филиала РГУПС приняли участие в торжественном шествии к Парку Победы, где состоялся митинг, посвящённый 75-летию изгнания фашистских захватчиков из Лихой. Во время митинга собравшиеся почтили минутой молчания память павших героев, возложили венки к братским могилам, где покоятся останки погибших железнодорожников и воинов, защищавших станцию во время Великой Отечественной войны.
14 февраля члены клуба «Поиск» провели историко-краеведческую конференцию на тему «Мы помним…». Студенты: Полшкова Олеся, Казачкова Анна, Скачедубов Дмитрий (из группы Д-11), Завгородний Иван (из группы Т-11), Албешов Руслан (из группы Т-13) — представили свои исследовательские работы, рассказывающие о том, как велась борьба местного населения на территории станций, посёлков, городов Ростовской области с захватчиками в годы войны.
На конференции выступил председатель Лиховского Совета Ветеранов войны и труда железнодорожного транспорта, хранитель музейной комнаты Лиховского отделения дороги — Дедюгин Степан Филиппович. Он рассказал о значимости железной дороги в годы войны, в мирное время, о своей трудовой деятельности.
Присутствовавшая на мероприятии Екатерина Игнатьевна Боева, директор техникума, поблагодарила ребят за их исследовательскую деятельность, сказав о том, что подобные мероприятия имеют огромное значение в формировании гражданско-патриотического настроя нашего подрастающего поколения.
